About My Book: The Boys of Summer

The Boys of Summer is an upmarket fiction novel set in 1999 in Los Angeles, California. 

The novel follows protagonist Kacey Alder (current occupation: Maintenance Dude at the Santa Monica Pier) as he chases his dream of finding success in the music industry while accidentally falling in love along the way.

Filled with found family, sunkissed settings, heated romance, and humorous banter, The Boys of Summer is both a coming of age tale and love story about chasing dreams, class consciousness, self worth, and how our relationship between where we come from and what we dare to hope for our future can impact the rest of our lives.

It is a story of survival, success, and summer love, set among an atmosphere of alternative rock ‘n roll and Y2K nostalgia.
